A man and woman wanted in thefts from Staples stores in Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida stole about $900 in toner last week from a store far closer to the Lehigh Valley, according to Crime Alerts Berks County.

The couple about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 7 hit the Staples at 4711 Perkiomen Ave. in Exeter Township, which is near Reading, the group said, citing township police.

They "appeared to use" the woman's "large hoop dress" to hide stolen ink cartridges, the group said.

The pair drove off in a minivan with no license plate, the group said.

Anyone with information on the theft or the couple can call the group's tipline at 877-373-9913 or text ALERTBERKS along with your tip to 847411. They can also contact Exeter Detective Michael Godshall at 610-779-1490 or at mgodshall@exeterpolice.com and reference incident #25-17-0520.
